Ingredients
Scale
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
2 cups granulated sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 large eggs
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
1/4 cup white chocolate chips, melted
1 toothpick
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, mix together the melted butter and granulated sugar.
Stir in the vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, until well combined.
Add the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.
If using, fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
Let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
Once cooled, melt the white chocolate chips. Transfer the melted white chocolate to a piping bag or a small zip-top bag with a corner snipped off.
Pipe concentric circles of melted white chocolate onto the surface of the brownies.
Drag a toothpick from the center of each circle outwards to create a spiderweb effect.
Cut into squares and serve.
Notes
For a fudgier brownie, use less flour.
Ensure the brownies are completely cool before decorating to prevent the white chocolate from melting too quickly.
Feel free to add a sprinkle of edible glitter for extra sparkle.
