Make quick, sweet, and spicy chicken bites coated in a sticky honey sriracha glaze. This recipe is simple to prepare for an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons cold water (slurry)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Toss the chicken pieces with olive oil, salt, and pepper on a bowl.
  3. Arrange the seasoned chicken on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  4. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.
  5. While the chicken bakes, prepare the sauce. Combine honey, sriracha, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and ginger in a small saucepan.
  6. Bring the sauce mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly.
  7. Whisk in the cornstarch slurry. Continue to cook and stir for about 1 minute until the sauce thickens to a glaze consistency. Remove from heat.
  8. Place the cooked chicken bites into a large bowl. Pour the warm honey sriracha glaze over the chicken.
  9. Toss gently until all the chicken pieces are evenly coated. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra crispy bites, you can lightly dust the raw chicken pieces with 1/4 cup of flour before tossing with oil and baking.
  • Garnish the finished bites with sesame seeds or chopped green onions before serving.
  • Adjust the amount of sriracha to control the heat level of your glaze.
