You will love making this sweet and creamy copycat Chicken Salad Chick Grape Salad at home. It combines juicy grapes, a rich cream cheese dressing, and a crunchy pecan topping, making it a perfect side dish for potlucks or holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups seedless red grapes, halved
  • 3 cups seedless green grapes, halved
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry the grapes thoroughly, then cut all grapes in half. Place the halved grapes in a large mixing bowl.
  2. In a separate medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
  3. Add the sour cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract to the cream cheese. Mix until the dressing is completely smooth and creamy.
  4. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the grapes. Gently fold the dressing into the grapes until all the grapes are evenly coated. Be careful not to crush the fruit.
  5. Cover the bowl and chill the salad in the refrigerator for at least two hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  6. Just before serving, combine the chopped pecans and brown sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle this topping evenly over the chilled grape salad.
  7. Serve cold and enjoy your kitchen kudos!

Notes

  • For the best texture, make sure the grapes are completely dry before mixing them with the dressing.
  • You can toast the pecans quickly in a dry skillet over medium heat for about five minutes until fragrant.
  • This salad tastes even better when made a day ahead, but add the pecan topping right before serving so it stays crunchy.
