Make this easy, cheesy chicken bubble biscuit bake for a comforting, family-friendly weeknight dinner with minimal prep time.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1 can (16.3 ounces) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, cream of mushroom soup, milk, sour cream, onion powder, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  3. Stir in the shredded chicken and half of the shredded cheddar cheese into the soup mixture.
  4. Pour the chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Arrange the quartered biscuit pieces randomly over the top of the chicken mixture, leaving small gaps between them so they can expand and ‘bubble.’
  6. Brush the tops of the biscuits lightly with the melted butter.
  7. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the biscuits are puffed, golden brown, and cooked through.
  8. Remove the casserole from the oven. Sprinkle the remaining half cup of cheddar cheese over the hot biscuits.
  9. Return the dish to the oven for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken to save time on cooking and shredding.
  • For extra flavor, add 1/2 cup of frozen peas and carrots to the filling mixture.
  • If your biscuits are sticking together, cut them slightly smaller before placing them on top.
