Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced fresh apples (like Honeycrisp or Fuji)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan or a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the biscuit pieces, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and chopped nuts (if using). Toss to coat the biscuit pieces evenly.
  3. In a separate small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Pour half of the butter mixture into the prepared pan.
  5. Arrange the coated biscuit pieces over the butter mixture in the pan.
  6. Drizzle the remaining butter mixture over the biscuit pieces.
  7. Scatter the diced apples evenly over the top.
  8. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the apples and biscuit pieces.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the monkey bread is golden brown and cooked through.
  10. Let the monkey bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before inverting it onto a serving platter.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy the pull-apart goodness!

Notes

  • For an extra gooey treat, you can add a drizzle of extra caramel sauce over the monkey bread after baking.
  • If you don’t have a bundt pan, a regular cake pan or baking dish works just as well.
  • Ensure your apples are diced small enough to cook through with the bread.
