Make quick, handheld Blueberry Pie Bombs using pre-made crescent roll dough. This recipe yields gooey, sweet bites perfect for snacks or parties and takes less than 30 minutes total.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries (do not thaw)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted (for brushing)
  • For Glaze (Optional): 1/2 cup powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon milk, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small bowl, gently mix the frozen blueberries, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice until the berries are lightly coated.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Do not separate the perforations.
  4. Place about 1 heaping teaspoon of the blueberry mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll each triangle up tightly, starting from the wide end, ensuring the filling is completely sealed inside. Pinch the seams closed firmly.
  6. Place the rolled dough pieces seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Brush the tops lightly with melted butter.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed.
  9. If making the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over the warm pie bombs.

Notes

  • For an Air Fryer variation, place the sealed bombs in a single layer in the basket, leaving space between them. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, checking halfway through for doneness.
  • For a cinnamon sugar topping instead of glaze, mix 2 tablespoons of sugar with 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon. Brush the tops with butter and immediately sprinkle the mixture over them before baking.
  • If you prefer a sweeter filling, increase the granulated sugar to 1/3 cup.
